The Corporation has in recent years focused on the development of the City of St. John’s and has been responsible for facilitating as well as providing improved amenities for St. John’s. The work of the corporation on the infrastructure of the city has been telling. The Corporation works in collaboration with the Public Works department (PWD), Central Board of health (CBH) and National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) to keep the city and its environs clean, tidy as well as maintained. There are future development plans for the city of St. John's to improve on its aesthetics and sanitation.
