The Antigua and Barbuda Exhibition and Cultural Center (ABECC) aka the Multipurpose Center was built in 1996 through a grant from the People’s Republic of China. It is located at Perry Bay Drive, St. John’s Antigua. This complex is purpose-built and is complete with amenities for conferences, events, and functions such as trade shows, weddings, parties, corporate events, meetings, and evangelical events. The ABECC has hosted functions such as the regional meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting, ABIB Career Affair, and ACB College Fair as well as the ICT Fest and CXC Examinations Test Center. In addition, the Center also offers furniture and linen rental services The Mini-Conference room has the capacity to seat approximately 150 people. The Cultural Center seats about 500 persons full capacity and the Exhibition Hall has the capacity for over 1000 persons. There is also the VIP room which caters for smaller and more intimate meetings as well as a Magistrates Chambers. The Amphi Theatre is another feature of the Center and caters to outdoor activities and events.
